Our pastor, Justin Kendrick, grew up in LA (Lower Alabama), and his wife, Susan, is from up north in Birmingham. They met while attending Auburn University. After graduating from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, Justin started the Appalachian State University chapter of RUF (Reformed University Fellowship), serving as the campus minister for eight years. The Kendricks have three children: Emma, Will, and Jack.
Our music director, Keith Groover grew up in Greenville, went to Indiana University and found a wife (Annie), and then finished school with a degree in music composition at USC. He was the assistant music director at Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville for seven years, is the guitar professor for North Greenville University, and is an active freelance musician in Spartanburg and around the upstate with the cello/guitar duo WireWood. His wife is a librarian with the Spartanburg Public Library, and they have four daughters: Claire, Bella, Sophie, and Ruby.
Coleman Woody is our Youth and Family Ministries Intern, and a Spartanburg native. He graduated from North Greenville University with a degree in Intercultural Studies and is currently working on his M.div at RTS. He married his wife Rebecca, also a North Greenville Alumni, in January 2015, and are happy pet parents of their dog Oliver. In his free time, Coleman enjoys a mix of video games, TV, camping, and hiking.
Matt Patrick serves as Campus Minister with RUF at Wofford. After earning an M.Div from Covenant Theological Seminary, Matt began serving at Wofford in June, 2017. Matt is originally from Huntsville, Alabama and studied English at The University of Alabama-Huntsville. Matt’s wife, Ivy, is a graduate of Berry College and works as a Physician Assistant. They love being outside, having people in their home, discovering new TV shows and reading.
